Strike for a Cure
The 8th Annual
Scotch Doubles Bowling Tournament
Sussex, Wisconsin
The Strike for a Cure was held at the Sussex Bowl on March 22nd, 2006. The registration fee of $60 per couple included bowling fees for four games, contest frames, drink tickets and dinner. Awards were given for high and low scores. The event included a raffle and silent auction.
The event was held in honor of Sam Hoffman. Eleven year old Sam lives in Delafield, Wisconsin and suffers from Succinic Semialdehyde Dehydrogenase Deficiency (SSADH) a rare neurotransmitter disease. Sam is one of 400 children in the world diagnosed with SSADH.
All proceeds were donated to the PND Association a group committed to helping those kids and families who are affected by a disease of neurotransmitter metabolism. There only hope for improved treatment and cure is through continued research.
Many "Thanks", to all those who participated.
